    Description: Process all media center materials for District 67. Receiving & organizing delivery of inner-office and U.S. mail, district goods and supplies efficiently.
    Qualifications:
    Education, Experience, and Licensure (required and preferred)
    • High School Diploma or GED, required
    Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
    • Ability to work harmoniously, cooperatively and effectively with all staff members
    • Ability to communicate clearly - written and verbal
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
    • Ability to initiate and sustain assignments without an inordinate amount of supervision or direction
    • Ability to read and follow directions
    • Ability to respond to provided training and maintain training
    • Ability to operate office equipment (e.g. copier, fax machine, personal computer)
    • Ability to maintain appropriate telephone etiquette
    • Familiarity with the Dewey Decimal System
    Essential Functions:
    • Receive, record, and catalog all media center materials, textbooks and grant items
    • Annotate non-print materials for the non-print catalogs
    • Screen non-print materials for production imperfections before cataloging
    • Coordinate and compile bibliographies of professional materials
    • Maintain acquisition and withdrawal records; and specialized files
    • Distribute materials to appropriate areas
    • Check the packing slip to order
    • Barcode books, equipment and resource items
    • Accept deliveries
    • Operate a forklift
    • Manage district magazine subscriptions for libraries
    • Assist staff with shipping needs
    • Troubleshoot office equipment
    • Update text book prices
    • Barcode books for Guided reading, Classroom Set, and Team Reading
    • Monitor goods received
    • Sort inner-office mail between buildings
    • Responsible for distribution of all Federal mail, UPS and other common carriers
    • Responsible for check-in and track goods received daily and organize the distribution to originators
    • Organize and assist to pick-up and deliver goods to the other districts outside agencies
    • Coordinate the daily delivery of Federal mail to the local post office
    • Operate and maintain the postage machine
    • Replenish postage funds, fluid, ink, and labels needed for the postage machine
    • Order supplies needed for postage, fax, and copy machines
    • Order library supplies (labels, book pockets, protector labels, jacket covers, laminate for paperback books)
    • Receive and deliver Spirit of 67 grant orders after coordinating with Spirit of 67 Executive who will receive the items from the grant order
    • Receive orders for elementary schools during the summer and coordinate delivery to the schools after cleaning of gyms or summer school are complete
    • Order Paper (white & colors) for District and keep track of paper delivery to schools
    • Help load and unload delivery trucks during school days
    • Help with laundry when the custodians are shorthanded
    • Help coordinate with items for 8th grade graduation
